Varhaisinta jazzia New Orleansista 1900-1930

Aitoa New Orleans -jazzia suoraan New Orleansista! Suomen ainoa jazziin alkuaikoihin erikoistunut laulajatar Reine Rimón (84) on koonnnut neworleansilaisen trumpetisti Gregg Staffordin (73) kanssa ainutlaatuisen ja erittäin monipuolisen kattauksen jazzmusiikin kaikkein varhaisimmista laulu- ja soittokappaleista. Hauska ohjelma myös koko perheelle, hyödyllinen musiikin opiskelijoille. Tämä konsertti on Birth of Jazz -ohjelman ainoa esitys Helsingissä.

There is a house in New Orleans, called The Preservation Hall. It is where the early jazz is saved and played by contemporary musicians. One of them is trumpet player Gregg Stafford. Now he brings the spirit of New Orleans jazz to us with the Finnish vocalist Reine Rimón & Her Hot Papas Jazz Band. This the 40th consecutive year the popular artists have played to the Finnish audience.
